Groundhog Day in United States

Groundhog Day falls on February 2 in the United States, coinciding with Candlemas. It is a part of popular culture among many Americans and it centers on the idea of the groundhog coming out of its home to “predict” the weather.

St. George and the Dragon

El Día de San Jorge conmemora la muerte de Jorge de Capadocia el 23 de abril del año 303. San Jorge es considerado patrón de diversas naciones y territorios, entre ellos Inglaterra, Georgia, Etiopía, Bulgaria y Porrtugal. En España es patrón de las regiones de Aragón y Cataluña, y de las localidades de Cáceres y Alcoy, entre otras.

Además el 23 de abril fue declarado el Día Internacional del libro por la Unesco en 1996.
